Mileage:

  • Every rental comes with 100 free miles a day

  • Any extra mileage is charged at a fee of .25 per mile

Gas:

  • The vehicle will need to be returned with the same level of gas that it is picked up with

  • If the tank returns with less gas, refueling will be charged at a rate of $5 /gal

Damage:

  • A refundable damage deposit will be charged 1 day before check-in. The refundable deposit will be returned within 7 business days following the completion of your trip. If damage occurs, Gearbox Adventure LLC. reserves the right to apply the deposit to the cost of the damage

  • The renter assumes 100% responsibility of any damage or theft that may occur during their rental. This includes, but is not limited to: Damage to the vehicle, property inside of the vehicle, damage to property, damage to any persons inside or out of the vehicle

Tolls:

  • You are responsible for all tolls, fees and traffic violations or tickets associated while you are renting the van. Any received fees will be billed to the card on file

Safety:

  • All passengers must be buckled while the vehicle is moving

  • No driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Cleaning:

  • No smoking allowed inside the vehicle or within 20 feet of the vehicle.

  • A $300 cleaning fee will be charged for any rentals that return smelling like smoke. Gearbox Adventure LLC. reserves the right to make these charges at their discretion

  • If your vehicle has an included toilet, it must be emptied and cleaned before return

  • All toilets are for urine only. Any toilets that are returned dirty, full, or with signs that anything other than urine was used will be charged a $200 dumping & cleaning fee

Booking amendments:

  • It is possible to extend your rental without incurring a fee. Extensions are subject to availability

  • Shortening a rental will be quoted as a new rental and will be subject to availability and calculated at the retail rate

  • Rescheduling of rentals will be considered a cancellation and rebooking. Any applicable cancellation fees and rate changes will apply

  • 100% of the rental cost will be kept if the booking is cancelled the day of the reservation or ended early

Cancellation Policy:

  • If the booking is canceled more than five days prior to booking start date, a full refund will be issued

  • If canceled less than five days prior to booking start date, a partial refund of 75% of the total rental amount (minus fees) is issued

Charge Schedule:

  • 50% of your reservation cost is due to reserve your dates

  • The remaining 50% will be charged 7 days prior to your departure date

  • A $250 refundable damage deposit will be charged 1 day before departure

  • Mileage fees are charged within 3 days of your return date

  • The $750 damage deposit it refunded within 7 days of your rental return if no damage is noted
